Privacy Policy

Hi, I'm Will. I made DialedIn. Here's exactly what happens with your data — no jargon.

The short version

Your brew data lives on your device and never goes to my servers. I can't see it. Account creation is optional and only syncs your profile preferences. I don't track you, sell your data, or run ads.

What stays on your device

Everything you log in DialedIn — brew sessions, grind sizes, water temps, tasting notes, equipment — is stored locally on your device and goes nowhere else. I have no access to it. If you delete the app, it's gone.

Optional account

You don't need an account to use DialedIn. All core features work without one.

If you choose to create an account, I collect your email address and a hashed password to enable cloud backup of your profile preferences (things like brewing method, temperature units, and favorite roaster). Your brew sessions are never part of this backup. Cloud data is stored on Supabase, transmitted over HTTPS, with row-level security so only you can access your own data.

Equipment requests

If you submit a request to add new equipment to the app, I collect the equipment name, category, brand, your user ID, and email. I use this only to review and prioritize what to add next.

What I don't collect

  • Your location
  • Your contacts
  • Device identifiers or fingerprints
  • Crash reports or diagnostics
  • Analytics or behavioral tracking data
  • Advertising identifiers
  • Anything from other apps on your device

Subscriptions

DialedIn offers an optional Pro subscription. If you purchase one, the transaction is processed by Apple (iOS) or Google (Android) — I never see your payment details directly.

To manage subscriptions across devices, I use RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives your app user ID, platform, and purchase transaction details. It does not receive your brew data, profile information, or email address.

No advertising networks. No analytics platforms. No social media SDKs. I don't sell your data to anyone. Ever.

Children

DialedIn isn't directed at children under 13. I don't knowingly collect data from children. If you think your child has provided personal information, email me and I'll delete it right away.

Changes

If I make meaningful changes to this policy, I'll update the effective date above. Nothing here will change in a way that surprises you.
